Leading up to this weekends race, the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), released the Championship points standings on social media. With a gap of 59 points the young Austrian has enough gap to clinch the Championship before the last round in Dubai followed by a field of international racers and UAE Newcomers.
“I am happy to go into this weekend with no pressure and to finally win the UAE title again. Even though being a National title the UAE Championship is a special one with seven races and lots of international competitors it feels like a little European Championship to me.” Reiterer on his overall title.
The preparation season for Reiterers World Championship campagin couldn’t have started better. With already six races under his belt he is looking forward to continue a great performance at the last race of the Championship this weekend in Dubai.
Heute postete der Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) die Meisterschaftspunkte auf Social Media. Mit einem Vorsprung von 59 Punkten sichert sich Reiterer den VAE Titel vor dem letzten Rennen.
“Es ist echt super den VAE Titel nach längerer Zeit wieder zu holen und vor allem die ganze Saison als Vorbereitung für die WM mitzunehmen. Mit sieben Rennen und einem großen Feld an internationalen Fahrern fühlt es sich ein wenig wie eine kleine Europameisterschaft an.” erzählt Reiterer.
Die Saison hätte für Reiterer nicht besser starten können. Mit sechs gefahrenen Rennen freut sich der Niederösterreicher schon auf das kommende Wochenende und zugleich das Letzte Rennen der VAE Meisterschaft in Dubai.
